Pollen World: an Art/Body Magazine

Artist Statement
Raised in the suburbs of Chicago as a queer Jew, I’ve always communicated through art. My primary mediums are oil pastel, pen and graphite, but I also create mixed media work using weaving, soft sculpture, and metalwork. My artwork is informed by the intersectionality of my identity, as well as a sensitivity to the world and interest in material experimentation. I use techniques of abstraction and written word, and am most influenced by conceptual and earth/land artists, the teaching artists of Black Mountain College, and the patterns and rhythms of nature.
